That was awesome! Dang... Mama's Hot and all those kiddos seem awesome. What an incredible training and family bonding experience that must have been! I'm an electrician by trade and have alot of construction experience. Even with my experience I would have struggled alot with this build. Can easily tell by your arms, hands and ease of tool use your a quite an experienced tradesman. My guess is a carpenter. No way some punk utuber could pull this off without it being a total disaster. Newaz, I'm thinking maybe I could with my construction experience. I'm gonna investigate this kit. I agree with you completely, hire a drywaller! Those dudes are amazing! Well done good Sir! The kids will forever remember this. My husband and our kids done this a few years back for under that much as well. We have pictures of them holding tape measures and other tools. Now that they are a little older looking back a the pictures bring back so much memories. So excited to build them little starter homes soon.

What a great thing to involve your kids! Helps them know that they helped build their own home. You obviously do not live in a place that needs sewer & water lines deep! Ha ha ha! Trusses are also better built can withstand far great loads. How long did it take to build from bare to exterior frame then frame to complete? Great job!

I did see the nail locations on the OSB flooring. I was also wondering if the company that put these together pre-marked the headers & footers for the studs? Either way, way cool!

Kits like this used to be really common. They date back to the late 1800s but really became popular post-WW II. People needed someplace to live. Neat!
